Recovery

If the hard disk is making ANY strange noises, then switch the PC off immediately!
Hard Drives don’t last forever. They are mechanical devices with motors. All hard drives share the same basic structure, varying only in how each part is used and the quality of the components themselves.
Data on storage media can be lost in a variety of circumstances but our data recovery services can retrieve your data that has by lost due to accidental human error, hardware and software corruption, electrical surges/outages, static electricity, malfunction or virus attack.
Our objective is to get the drive functioning just long enough for us to acquire an image from it, not to repair the drive for future use.

Data Recovery FAQ - HELP! - I've lost my data!!!
My hard disk is dead and not recognized by my computer
A hard drive that is not recognized by your computer usually has one of the following problems:
The drive has an electrical fault
You can usually diagnose these quite easily if your computer doesn’t immediately identify the drive and you do not hear the drive spinning. Recovery of data in these situations is often possible but may cost more.
The drive has an internal software problem
There is software on the drive called “firmware” and this is the software built into hard drive that makes it “work”. Each manufacturer uses their own firmware and so firmware problems on disks of different manufacturers show different symptoms.
The drive has a more serious mechanical problem
Serious mechanical failure in a hard drive is sometimes accompanied by a clicking, grinding or high pitched sound. Alternatively, the drive may cause the computer be non-responsive when it starts or cause the computer to function very slowly.
My hard disk is recognized by my computer but fails to start my system correctly & I can't access some or all of my files
Usually, this type of problem is indicative of a fault with the data on the hard drive rather than the drive itself.
My system is warning me that there are problems on the hard disk and wants me to run Scandisk or Chkdsk
We recommend that if you are serious regarding the correct recovery of your data that you never, ever run any of these utilities. They are not designed to run on damage hard drives and will often make recoverable data unrecoverable.
My hard disk is inaccessible and making a clicking noise
This type of failure is more common on laptop hard drives and fortunately the data if often recoverable from this situation. Often, the drive will not be recognized by the computer and it's important that you power the drive down and keep it that way as repeatedly turning it on in this condition may cause further damage.
We have a three phase data recovery process: "Evaluation, customer consultation and then Data Recovery."
